TGIF! Here's What's Been Done the Last Few Days 1/6/2011
Everyone has left for the day and I can snoop around without bothering anyone. The ceiling tile grid is up on the Sales Floor!
They are woking on the ceiling grid in the first classroom.
Working in the first classroom. You can see some of the solid core doors for the bathrooms and the utility room ready to be stained and put in place.
This is the boiler that will keep our feet warm in the winter!
The classroom with the kitchen is storing a lot of stuff right now.

Today the AC and Ceiling tiles are going up. Look down. The carpet and tile is in!
You can see the transition from carpet to tile in one of the classrooms. They are hard at work getting the track ready for the ceiling tiles.

Everybody's Here! 12/30/2010
Everybody's here. The plumber, the painters, the flooring guys. All hands on deck as we look forward to the finish line.
They have cleaned out the store to get ready for the flooring guys.
Look at all those empty drywall compound buckets.
This is what you see when you walk through the front doors. Looking to the right from the air lock entryway.
I walked to the far corner to look across the store.
I continued walking toward the first classroom and was able to look through all of the offices into Debbie's workroom.
Finishing the second coat of paint in the first classroom. It's so bright with just three light bulbs. Imagine what it will be like when all of the lighting is in place!
The plumber is fitting the copper pipes for the radiant heat. These pipes go from the boiler to the intake manifold that distributes the heated water through the floor.

The flooring guys are starting tiling in Debbie's workroom..
Having walked full circle through the space, I look back across the store before exiting.
It's All Happening INSIDE Now! 12/16/2010
The opening on the right is the doorway that you will enter into the new store! One of two large windows on the left give you a peek to what's inside!

The guys are working on the drywall in one of the two classrooms, and the guy kneeling is working on installing the air handlers for the Air Conditioning.
This is the other classroom. The windows need the drywall removed. Also the air conditioning unit needs to be installed!

A snowy front of the Building. The siding, roof, windows are all up and finished. I faked the new Sign on the building!
The electricians are busy at work wiring the builing. I took a sneak peak last night and saw a drywall delivery in the builing. That means the drywallers are next!

Three of the four outer walls are up. They need one wall open to get the lift inside to put up the roof trusses.

All of the materials needed to put up the NEW Building have now arrived on site. Friday the floor will be poured and Monday they start assembling the Building.

They have STARTED DIGGING for the foundatin of the new building. The foundation should be poured soon and the Morton Builder's truck is scheduled for October 22 to drop off the parts of the building!

Something's Starting!
We got so excited to see any kind of heavy equipment stop by the site for the NEW STORE. Instead of plowing snow, we got mowing on the site to remove more debris so the backhoe can come and excavate for the foundation.

We were orignally told that ground breaking for the new building would be sometime in August. Due to a few minor changes to the facade, the drawings have to be presented to the planning board in a meeting the middle of September. As the building progresses, we will keep you informed. Pictures will be posted on this page throughout the whole process.
